Paul Koorem

Paul Ferdinand Koorem was born in Kuressaare in 1922 and was the twin of Alfred Koorem. He escaped from the Soviets at the same time as Erika (1945) and ended up on a ship heading to Sweden. He settled in Pitea, Sweden and was employed in a tailor shop, and in the road construction business. He was married to Harriet and had two children Airi and Juri. After that marriage he was married to Marianne and had three children Bjorn, Therese,  and Jaan. He visited Erika in Scotland in the 1980’s and she also went to Sweden to visit him. He died in 1992 and is remains are interred in Kudjape Cemetery in Kuressaare along with his parents Karl and Miina Koorem and sister Erika.
